Hey there Reader,

Welcome. I hope you are having a great week. I'm having a very productive week on the website and around the house. Spring is definitely my inspired season. It just makes me feel so motivated. What is your most inspiring season?

Let's move on to the fun finds! Be sure you read to the bottom to catch all the news.

Weekly Friday Finds | 04-12-2024 | Trivia Time

This week’s trivia question is:

What is the oldest soft drink in America?

The answer to last week’s question:

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn takes place in the fictional town of St. Petersburg, Missouri, which was based on what real town? Hannibal, Missouri!

Go to the Friday Finds blog post, scroll to the bottom, and leave your answer in the comments. You will get a double entry since you are a newsletter email subscriber. You can also simply reply to this email with your answer, and you'll get one entry.

This is my spring entry jar. It makes me so happy to drop names in the jar! I have a cute little floral notepad that I cut the strips from.

I finally remembered some of the items I forgot last week. I have a great video to share with you of Indie Author Mim Eichmann performing Sweet Georgia Brown, one of the songs Tayvie sings in Mim's newest book, "Tayvie's Story."

In this week's blog post, I share even more about how multi-talented Ms. Eichmann is. Plus, she's a wonderfully kind person.

Here are the book reviews and spotlights I featured the past week.

Concerning Intellectual Suicide in The Human Race” by Massimo Fantini

Leave Everything You Know Behind by Ginny Fite

Clytemnestra’s Bind (The House of Atreus, 1) by Susan C. Wilson

Red Kingdom: A Dark Little Red Riding Hood Retelling (Fairy Tale Retellings Book 2) by Rachel L. Demeter

Falling for a Shy Cowboy: A SecretCrush /SingleMom/ChristianCowboy/Romance (Vargas Ranch Book 2) by Karen Baney

Deadpan: A Novel by Richard Walter | #Satire #MagicalRealism #Intolerance #Bigotry

Weekly Friday Finds | 04-12-2024 | Recipes

This week's blog post recipes are Chicken Primavera and a delicious Rhubarb Dessert.

Your email subscriber bonus recipe is for Spring Vegetable Minestrone!

Rework this hearty Italian soup with fresh seasonal produce, pesto, and pecorino cheese. Spring vegetable minestrone gives you plenty of room to improvise.

Chickpeas, asparagus, artichoke hearts and baby potatoes are a few of the suggested veggies, but you can mix and match to your appetite's content.

A fabulous tip for this recipe is to build the soup like a house. Don't toss everything in all at once, or some vegetables will be overcooked and some undercooked.

Weekly Friday Finds | 04-12-2024 | Crafts

In this week's blog post, Creative News, we painted some tulips for your wall, and I shared a new take on my abacus with a video.

So, for the email, let's do something completely different. How about a crocheted lantern?

Digital Pattern for a Crocheted Hanging Lantern

This pattern is written in Dutch, but the reviews say it is pretty easy to translate into English. I'm trying to find a pattern for you written in English, but I haven't found anything as beautiful as Janneke's patterns. Google Translate is a fantastic tool. I use it to translate correspondence from German relatives all the time.

That's it for this week. Tell me what your favorite section of the newsletter is. Also, please visit the website to see what's new there. I have lots of new, inspiring things running through my head, and I can't wait to start implementing them.

Peace & love to you, Reader!

Gina

Well, this email is late getting to you. Let me explain why… I got behind this week for a very good reason. I took a day off on Wednesday to pick the grandkids up from early school dismissal. Then, we met my daughter and her grandbaby (my great-grandbaby!!) for lunch. Tom and I had such a great time. The older kids are so funny. The baby is happy and, at a year old, really getting to that fun, interactive stage. It should be fine, I thought. I would still have Thursday to finish the Friday...

Hello Reader, I'm so happy to have you here today. I'm running a bit behind today. I figured grandkids were more important than getting this email out at a specific time. A couple of the grandsons are here helping to tear down an old barn. I've been busy keeping those ravenous kids supplied with cookies, fruit snacks, and drinks. I'm squeezing this email in before I start dinner. We are just having a fabulous time. I hope you enjoy your Friday Finds email this week. Please click on over to...
