Reader,

Hello and welcome!

I am running a bit behind today but for a "worthy" cause. I intended to write this early this morning but when I woke up, hubs said let's go to town & pick out new light fixtures for the dining room and a new front door. Now, I have wanted to do this project for ages, and I was not going to say no. So, off I went to shop. I came home with nothing because I am evidently waaay too picky. But I see no sense in settling. I've waited this long, I can wait till I find the best options.

So here we are, late but it is still Friday. ;-)

Book News

I featured two lovely Indie Authors in today's Friday Finds post. I hope you will check them out and maybe show them some love!

Recipes

I promised St. Patrick's Day dessert recipes this week. In the blog post, I included Irish Dessert Shots and pistachio Cream Cookie bars. So pop over there for those.

Here is a recipe just for the email newsletter subscribers:

Classic Mint Chocolate Brownies

Thick and fudgy brownies layered with sweet mint frosting and easy chocolate ganache. The classic mint chocolate combination!

Creative News

Crochet is the craft of the day.

Get this bundle of Crochet Bag Patterns from SistersLaboratorie. It's on sale for a limited time!

Trivia Time

This week’s trivia question is:

Eons ago, when I was in high school, I was obsessed with Shakespeare novels. Can you remember who said, ‘All the world’s a stage’ and what book it was from?

Be sure you pop over to the blog post to leave your answer. You can reply to this email for one entry, but commenting on the blog gets you two entries if you are an email subscriber.

The answer to last week’s question:

What is the term for a decorative technique of inlaying pieces of wood, metal, ivory, or other materials into a wood surface? I was going for marquetry, but evidently, this technique has differing names. Who knew??

Therefore, everyone who commented last week will be entered into the April 1, 2024 drawing! You get double entries if you are also a Friday Finds email subscriber.

That's all the fun for this week, Reader.

Wishing you a fun-filled St. Patrick's Day, whether you are Irish or not. My German mother-in-law always claimed everyone is Irish on St. Paddy's Day!

Until next week,

Peace & love to you.

Well, this email is late getting to you. Let me explain why… I got behind this week for a very good reason. I took a day off on Wednesday to pick the grandkids up from early school dismissal. Then, we met my daughter and her grandbaby (my great-grandbaby!!) for lunch. Tom and I had such a great time. The older kids are so funny. The baby is happy and, at a year old, really getting to that fun, interactive stage. It should be fine, I thought. I would still have Thursday to finish the Friday...
